Cocos Islands

Located 285 nautical miles (525 km) from the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, this desert island is one of the only marine sanctuaries protecting such a wide population of hammerhead sharks. The island which inspired the movie "Jurassic Park", features lush and green mountains, endless waterfalls and is the home of some of the most sought after species of sharks by keen divers. Cocos Island is a "must-stop" on the way to Galapagos or to the Caribbean. Also make the most of your dives by experiencing a submarine trip down to 300 meters to discover unknow marine animals.
